SPECIAL SECTIONS

YOUNG VOICES

Section for pre-service teachers majoring in Pedagogy, Languages, Linguistics, Cultural and Communication Studies enabling them to share ideas and projects with the international education community.

Young Voices participants are welcome to send in preliminary questions, the most interesting of which will be answered by Prof. Crystal during the session. To send a question please press the “submit question” button.

We were collecting questions until May 15.

DAVID CRYSTAL


Preeminent linguist, English language scholar, writer, editor, lecturer, and broadcaster will join our special feature section Young Voices for students and pre-service teachers majoring in Pedagogy, Languages, Linguistics, Cultural and Communication Studies. The session will feature discussions on English from its story in 100 words to digital language, the latest online trends, surprising features of informal conversation and how different it would sound if you had a time-machine. 

TECH TALKS

This section will be dedicated to technological solutions, challenges and insights for educational purposes. Our partners from both Russia and abroad will share best practices, their priceless experience, discoveries and news about their current projects, some of which will see light during the NATE conference for the first time. Keynote speakers of the section include representatives from Cambridge University Press, Skyeng, Far Eastern Federal University, Uchi.ru.


We will discuss educational platform research foundations, student motivation for online studies, evidence-based methods in education, find out whether technology is our enemy and maybe even see a language training simulator.

REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSIONS

PUBLICATIONS

Speakers whose abstracts have been accepted and who wish to publish them in the Proceedings of the Conference should upload their articles of up to five pages including references to nate@misis.ru between 15 March and 25 April 2021 to Dryfta . The proceedings will be registered in РИНЦ and published online after the conference. Papers with strong research focus will be recommended for publication in the International Journal of NATE-Russia FLER.

Papers will be accepted for publication provided they are related to the theme of the conference and conform to the publication guidelines.
